Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 13 at 10:00 am at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station with Joe Dan Franklin Jr. officiating. Private family interment will be held at College Station Cemetery.
Mary Louise was born September 1, 1931 in Gulf Hammock, FL. the daughter of Earl Hobson and Myrtle Louise (Hall) Liles. She graduated from Crosby High School in June 1949 and the University of Houston in 1952 with a bachelor’s degree in Education. Mary Louise enjoyed serving her family and others; teaching Bible Studies. She loved and cared for her brothers and sisters, prayed for her family faithfully. Proudly serving with her husband as a pastor’s wife.
Mary Louise was a member of Kairos of Texas and First Baptist Church of College Station. She lived out her faith with her actions.
Mary Louise is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Joe Dan Franklin Sr.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Dan Jr. and Cindy Franklin of Katy, John Earl and Eve Franklin of College Station; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Louise and Doyle Shipman of Cypress, Rebekah Lynn and Doug Evans of Portland, Ruth Ann and Ronald Davenport of Milano; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Juanita Liles; sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia Ruth and Sam Barnett; brother-in-law, Johnnie Esterak; grandchildren, Amy, Danny III, Andrew, Joseph, Ryan, Marysa, Nathanael, Erin, Ashley, Kari, Shelbi, Jack, Abigail and Julia; twenty-two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends a special thank you and appreciation to Allumine Hospice Team especially Tonya, caregivers, Vivian, Anastasia and Sue for all the care, love and support they gave to Mary Louise.
