

Mrs. Margaret Wright Lynch, 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in College Station on March 7, 2010. Funeral services will be held at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2010, with a visitation at 1:00 p.m. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bryan, and Reverend David Henry will preside. Interment will follow at the College Station Cemetery.
Mrs. Lynch was born in Cambridge, Maryland, the second daughter of Bessie and Medford Wright. During her high school years, Margaret excelled in basketball and track, earning state records. Upon graduation, she married Robert Grayson Creighton and worked for the telephone company while he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Later, she worked as an office manager for an advertising firm in Cambridge. She was an avid golfer, Bridge player, and she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening. However, she most cherished time spent with her family.
In 1967, she married William Henry Lynch and lived in Ocean City, Maryland. During those years, they enjoyed extensive travel and their children’s and grandchildren’s many visits. Upon his death in 1993, Mrs. Lynch moved to Texas to be near family. She will be missed by many, including her beloved Siamese cat Rebel.
Mrs. Lynch is survived by her two daughters, Danielle Benjamin of College Station, and Shelley Talianko and her son-in-law Robert Talianko, of Hunstville, Al.; five granddaughters Courtney Benjamin of Austin, Kristen Benjamin of Los Angeles, CA, Kimberly Talianko, of Chicago, IL, Laura Talianko, of Fort Myers, FL, and Jennifer Talianko, of Hunstville, AL.
