John C. Peters

My precious husband, John C. Peters, 77, left his special family early Friday morning, November 9, 2012 in College Station. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday November 11, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Interment will follow at College Station Cemetery.

How our hearts are all aching for their Husband, Father, and Grandpa. He is now in heaven with is mother and father. He was their only child. His father came to this country in the late 1920’s from Scotland to work at the Garden City Golf Course in Long Island, NY, as a greens keeper. His mother, from England, arrived shortly later and worked as a cook at the Country Club.

John loved growing up on the Gulf Course and, searching for all the lost golf balls. He also took many cruises on the Queen Mary to England. When w married, he was thrilled to be part of a large family with many new sisters and a brother. We just celebrated our 50th anniversary in June. He was a land surveyor and when we moved to Texas 36 years ago, he became a

Professional Licensed Land Surveyor, which he was so proud of. John had a kind and gentle soul. We will miss you so and you will always be in our hearts. Love forever and forever from your special family.

He is survived by his wife, Lois M. (Johnson) Peters; daughter, Rebecca Bouse and husband Gary; son, John Peters and wife Leighann; daughter, Susan Morgan and fiancé Sean Hanley; step-son, Cody LeBlanc; grandchildren, Garrett Bouse, Heather Bouse, Crystal Morgan, Andrew Peters and Ashley Peters.
