Albert Casey, 90, passed away on July 31, 2016. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Annette Jane Casey, his parents Charles Domnic and Annie Laura Casey and by his siblings Martin F. Casey, Colman Casey, Nancy Cartwright, and Richard K. Casey.
He is survived by son Brian Casey and wife Beth; by son Dennis Casey and wife Regina; by daughter Maura Casey and Ronnie Batchelor; by four grandchildren Sean, Clay, Seth and Kenneth; by sister-in-law Jean Casey; and also by numerous relatives and friends.
Albert was born on December 8th, 1925 and raised in Austin, TX. He attended Austin High School and then attended the University of Kansas where he received his PhD in Psychology. While at KU he met Annette Smith and they married December 24th, 1954. After graduating from KU, in 1962 he moved his family to Bryan/College Station, Texas where he took the position of Professor of Psychology at Texas A&M University, a position he held for 30 years.
While at Texas A&M, Albert had many accomplishments that left a long lasting legacy. He was the designer of the psychology graduate curriculum which produced numerous successful professionals over three decades. Additionally he established and became Director of the on-campus Psychology Clinic and Sleep Center. During his tenure of teaching, administrating, and private practice he touched and impacted many lives.
Albert and Annette enjoyed many loving years together. There were wonderful family times of fishing vacations, Aggie football games, gardening, and holiday celebrations. Albert will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 6th at Arbor Oaks Chapel, 2505 E. Villa Maria, Bryan, TX 77802.
