Ronald Wyser Sr. was born October 5, 1940, in Queens, NYC to Viola Davis and Sonnie Wyser. As a young boy, Ronald and his family moved to Brighton, Alabama, where he was raised. He attended Brighton high school and joined the school band as a trumpet player. His love for music extended into the Brighton Baptist Church, where he and his late brother, William Davis, became members of the church band. Upon graduating high school, Ronald attended trade school and studied brick masonry.
In 1964, he married Betty J. Wyser, and the two built a life of love together. Both were raised in the Birmingham, Alabama area. Ronald and Betty later settled in Atlanta, GA, where he continued his work as a brick mason for several companies in the Georgia area. Ronald had a knack for craftsmanship and was revered as an all-around handyman. So much so, that he could always be found at his favorite home improvement store– The Home Depot. Throughout his time on earth, Ronald was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a good friend.
On Friday, November 11, 2022, Ronald’s earthly journey was completed comfortably in his home, in the care of his loving wife. Although Ronald’s passing comes with great sadness, we rejoice in his everlasting memory. Ronald Wyser Sr. is survived by his wife Betty J. Wyser of 58 years. His children: Ronald Wyser Jr., Charlanda Wyser Sledge, and Yolanda Wyser Dixon. Brothers-in-law: Tommy Gardner, Eugene Gardner, James Warren, and Johnny Warren.
