Born September 25, 1972 in Philadelphia, PA, Quincy Timothy Benjamin was the only son of Doris and Samuel Benjamin. After relocating with his parents to Winnsboro, SC he continued his education and later attended Benedict College in Columbia, SC. After college, Quincy faced a few challenges, however, Quincy was able to reinvent himself by becoming a business-owner.
Quincy married the love of his life Evangelist Xavier Lewis on February 13, 2010 in Atlanta, Ga. The two were inseparable, loving and supporting their families, opening business ventures and traveling. Their latest vision led them to the launching of their trucking business, “Big Ben”.
They were the proud owners of The Barber “Q’s” Barbershop located in East Point, GA. He and his wife took pride in giving back to the community by hosting their annual back to school block party. Their intentions were to have an impact on the community and be a role model to others. Quincy gave his life to Christ in 2006 and discovered his evangelistic ministry by feeding his community. He became a member of the Kingdom of God International Ministry, where he served faithfully.
He believed in family and keeping family close. Quincy prided himself in being a fashionista, striving to be the best dressed in every setting. Known as the ultimate “hustler” Quincy made sure he made a way out of no way. Quincy’s motto remained “I will always come out on top; I stand above and not beneath”. Quincy was a Husband, Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and Community Barber.
In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Quincy leaves to cherish his memory his children Quisha, Marcellous, Quincy, Javiaunta Benjamin; grandchildren, Braelyn and Benji; mother-in-law, Lula Lewis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law. He also leavesbehind great memories and laughter amongst his family and friends. Quincy truly made his marking and left no stone unturned.
