Emily Sue Woodall Ivey went to join her Lord, June 27, 2016. Emily was born on Mother's, May 10, 1936, in Chattanooga, TN, Emily's parents were Jewel Giddens and Raymond Griffith Woodall, Sr. Emily attended grade schools in Savannah and College Park, GA. She graduated from Wm. A. Russell High School in East Point , GA in 1954. Frederick Jackson Ivey and Emily married in Nashville, TN on March 31, 1956. They enjoyed together a wonderful Coast Guard Military life for 23 years. Emily was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Emily's Immediate family consisted of two brothers, Raymond Griffith Woodall, Jr. and Robert Giddens Woodall, and one sister, Jane Ellen Woodall Ragan. She also had six nieces and nephews, and ten great nieces and nephews. In remembering Emily the family of Raymond "Scott" Woodall of Newnan, GA, is ever so special, along with Barbara Ann Ackerman of Bonaire, GA. She was a member of the Episcopal Church for over 60 years. Frederick J. Ivey died Oct., 3, 2012 and left behind Emily and the faithful little Shih Tzu "Sakie II", whom they both loved so much. They were married fifty six years at Fred's passing. Especially wonderful for Emily and Fred was their 45th Anniversary Celebration given by Lori Woodall Dorn in Ringgold, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 5755 Mallory Rd., College Park, GA 30349. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
