Carlos Evan Roman - Age 92 of Riverdale, Georgia passed away February 19, 2019 at home at 10:14 a.m. Carlos was born October 18, 1926 in Cuba. He resided in Jamaica, West Indies where he meet his wife, Norma Grant and raised three (3) children. After migrating to the United States, they resided in Stamford Connecticut. Carlos, worked at Stamford Hospital as a Receiving Clerk for seventeen (17) years. While not a religious man, he believed that there was a God. He would walk into St. John's Catholic Church just to hear the Pastor's sermons. Carlos enjoyed photography as a hobby and was very passionate about it. Something that brought joy to Carlos was spending time with his grandchildren taking them to McDonald's and the park.
Even in his illness he remembered everyone's name and birthdays. He never forgot to say " Happy Birthday" to everyone in the family. Carlos leaves behind his wife, Norma, sister, Josephine Roman; his children, Deon Cousins, Marcia (deceased) and Andrew Reid; his grandchildren, Nikki, Corey, Dominique, Tanika, Elizabeth, Vanessa, Robert and Malani; his great grandchildren, Preston, Ja-Corey, Chase and Noah. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 27th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy Episcopal Church, 2833 Flat Shoals Road, Decatur, GA. The gravesite funeral will be on Thursday, February 28th at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5755 Mallory Road, College Park, GA 30349
