Theresa A (Winiarski) Johnson

Theresa is survived by her husband, Charlie; daughters, JoAnne Damico and spouse, Len, Jennifer Johnson, Jacqulyn Rose and spouse, Chris; and grandchildren, Alexander and Maximilian Damico.

Theresa was born to Joseph and Ann Winiarski in Chester, Pennsylvania. Theresa attended Garnet Valley High School in Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania where she cheered as the school mascot and attended vocational studies as a beauty technician. She married Charlie in 1980 and spent her younger years raising her children and volunteering at church and school events.

Theresa was endlessly caring and spent her life in service of others. In addition to being a devoted caretaker to her family, Theresa spent early years as a stylist, volunteered as a volleyball coach for her children’s school, enjoyed years as a retail associate at Cracker Barrel, and ended her professional career as Activities Director with Sunrise Senior Living facility.

Theresa loved easily and drew in friends through her effusive personality and caring nature. Prior to illness she enjoyed traveling and fishing, but was ultimately happiest in moments spent with loved ones.

Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the Animal Welfare League of Frederick County or the Ocean Conservancy.
