Carol E. Wilkinson Bartlett

Carol grew up and attended school in Detroit. She graduated from MacKenzie High and Wayne State University. She married David Bartlett in 1953. Together they had 5 children; Susan, William, Timothy, Jennifer and Elizabeth. She was a devoted homemaker and she loved to sew and cook for her family.

Carol was an educator for the Detroit Public Schools where she enjoyed many years of teaching and helping her students with career development.

In their later years David & Carol moved to their “farm” in Quincy. Carol loved to entertain her family and many friends. Her 10 grandchildren loved to visit. She would always have special meals and delicious pies to feed everyone.

Carol was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Coldwater. She was a very generous person and loved to share her gifts and talents with everyone who became her friend. She loved and was loved. She was the best cook in the world!

Visitation will be Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Putnam Funeral Home in Coldwater. Funeral services will be Friday, August 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Coldwater with Rev. Rene’ Whitaker officiating.
