William J Sanford

William J. Sanford, 92, of Merritt Island, FL passed away Friday, April 10, 2015. A native of New Albany, Indiana, Bill moved to Florida in 1977 from Roanoke, Virginia. He served in the United States Army during WWII.

Bill was the Division Manager of Northrup King Seed Co. before retiring to enjoy time with his family, time on the computer, and working in the yard. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cocoa Beach, FL and the Shriners.

He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen.

Bill is survived by his wife, Louise; sons: William Sanford, Jr.(Gayle) of Salem, VA and Charles Sanford(Cheryl) of Peachtree City, GA; four grandchildren: Greta M. Frye, William K. Sanford, Robert M. Sanford, and Thomas A. Sanford and one step-granddaughter, Amy; six great grandchildren Brittany Sanford, Autumn Sanford, Cole Sanford, Tessa Sanford, Anna Frye, and Mitchell Frye.

A visitation will be held Tuesday (4/14) from 1-2PM at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home followed by a service at 2PM. Entombment will follow at Brevard Memorial Park with military honors.
