William Fenwick Cressman, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Born in Fort Meade, Maryland, he was the son of John and Kathleen Cressman and grew up with three siblings: Lee, John, and PhyllisAnn.
William proudly served his country as a veteran of both the Army and the United States Coast Guard. He was also an active member of the Merritt Island Moose Lodge. After leaving Munich, Germany, he relocated to the Port St. John area where he spent 30 years and eventually settled in Hobe Sound, Florida, in 2014.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Gwendolyn Brooks (Thomas), and his cherished grandchildren: Timothy (Hannah), Kristin, and Lindsey. William was a devoted great-grandfather to Christopher, Samuel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Axtom, Hope, and Amelia.
William was predeceased by his parents, John H. Cressman and Kathleen Fenwick Cressman, his siblings Lee Eitel, John H.P. Cressman, PhyllisAnn Gargis, and his wife, Ingrid P. Cressman.
William will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to family, and service to his country. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
A visitation for William will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 N Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953 with Funeral services immediately following. A committal service will occur Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Brevard Memorial Park, 320 Spring St. Cocoa, FL 32927
