Wayne "Bad Hombre" Gayle

Wayne ‘Bad Hombre’ Gayle passed away peacefully at the age of 73, in Melbourne Regional Medical Center, Melbourne Florida on November 29, 2022. He will be desperately missed by his adoring and loving wife, Connie ‘Quicksdraw Connie’ Gayle after an awesome 58 year journey through life which has been cut way too short.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Corey and Michael Gayle; his daughter (‘-in-law’) Melissa Gayle. Wayne is a devoted and loving Pappi to our beloved grandchildren, Liam and Lily Gayle. His brother, Charles Gayle and sister-in-law, Mary Gayle, from Southwick MA have also survived him, along with one 'sister', Winnie O'Dell and her husband, Kirk O'Dell, numerous cousins, three nephews and one Aunt (Betty). He was pre-deceased by his loving Mother, Mazie Gayle Novak and loving step-father, Elmer Novak, and his sister, Carolyn Gayle Shaia.

He was born in Orlando, Florida in 1949 and grew up throughout Florida. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and for the past 21 years, was very active in Cowboy Action Shooting Competition where he was State Champion in various categories numerous times. He helped build the Titusville/Mims Cowboy town and was Match Director twice, always giving back to the sport by mentoring and welcoming new people to try and keep the cowboy spirit alive.

We will be having a Celebration of Life for Hombre at a later date with more information to be forthcoming. We hope to see y’all there to celebrate and honor my beloved and awesome husband, Wayne ‘Bad Hombre’ Gayle.
