She was born on February 5, 1931, in Camden, NY, to parents Kenneth and Dorothy Percival.

Shirley will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Lawrence, and her son Kevin L. Forbes.

Shirley is survived by her children, Kenneth Forbes, Sally (Roger) Fisher, Susan Shannon, and Keith (Penny) Forbes; her grandchildren, Kimberly Forbes, Michael Forbes, Kris Sharon, Shannon Sharon, Katie (Adam) Piotrowski, Kevin (Sarah) Shannon, Nicholas Forbes, Nathaniel Forbes, and Candice Forbes; and multiple great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, from 5-7 pm at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place Thursday, October 12, at 11 am, also at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately after at Brevard Memorial Park.
