Richard ‘RT’ Lee Turner, 73, of Port Orange, Florida passed peacefully in the arms of his loving wife on November 6th, 2021. He was born on September 23, 1948 son of the late Robert Emory and Berry Jane (Bowen) Turner.
Richard was a Vietnam Veteran and was a proud American. He had a deep love for anything NASCAR and would always be found working on one of his own race cars. As a longtime member of the race car community, Back to the Roots, in Daytona Beach, Florida, he would spend a lot of time educating and keeping the spirit and history of racing alive. Richard was a lifelong engineer and played a major role in the design and operation of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
He was a loving family man who enjoyed spending time at home and surrounded by the people he loved.
Preceded in death by 2 brothers Tom Turner and Rob Turner.
Richard is survived by his wife, Gail Turner (née Scrivener); his daughter, Jenny Rebecca Page (née Turner), his son in law; Todd Page, brother Ron Turner; and his two granddaughters, Isabel Conley and Annalynn Conely.
Viewing and funeral services will be held at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. Burial services will be held at Brevard Memorial Park. Both are located at 5475 North U.S. Highway 1, Cocoa, FL 32927.
