Mae was a woman of strong faith and Christian values. She showed her faith in the life she lived, through her dedication to the church, and how she raised her children in God’s wisdom. She enjoyed singing his praises in church. You could hear her over almost everyone in the congregation.
She attended duPont Manual High School in Louisville, Kentucky. Soon after, Mae met Charles McCreary, while he was on military leave. Mae and Chuck married and had two beautiful daughters- Charla McCreary-Belflower and Shela McCreary.
Being a grandmother was one of the joys in her life. She has two wonderful grandchildren, Sean Belflower and Cayla Belfower - Johnson.
Most days, you'd find her gardening or potting plants. She worked in a floral shop to provide flower arrangements for church every week. Then there was ballroom dancing; she enjoyed it so much that she became a notable dance instructor. In her later years, she traveled the world from Europe to Asia.
Predeceased by husband Charles T McCreary and survived by daughter Charla McCreary Belflower (husband, Thomas Belflower. Son, Sean Belflower. Daughter, Cayla Belflower, and son-in-law, Zach Johnson) and daughter Shela McCreary (grandpuppies, Joey and Jazzy)
