Joseph Britton Conner

Joseph Conner, 74, of Cocoa, Florida was called home by his creator on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

He was the son of the late James Britton and Edna Ophelia Conner of Soperton, Georgia. Joseph moved to Florida in 1959 where he became a member and retired from Ironworkers Union Local 808 Orlando, Florida. Joseph enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter Diane Conner Alvarado (Tony) of Merritt Island, Fl; his son Jeffrey Conner (Melanie) of Crystal River, Fl; Sherry of Tn; and his niece and caretaker Tammy Simpson (Cliff) of Cocoa, Fl; 6 granddaughters; 5 grandsons and 8 great grandchildren. Also 4 sisters; Wannell Collins (Paul) of Mount Vernon, Ga; Ophelia Holland (David) of Cobbtown, Ga; Martha Daniels (Truman) of Soperton, Ga; and Brenda Joyner (Wilbur) of Soperton, Ga and 1 brother - James Conner (Laura) of Cocoa, Fl. He has many nieces and nephews that he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his son Joseph Conner, Jr., 4 sisters; Juanita Conner, Margaret Cooper, Claudine Houser, and Elise Redfern and 2 brothers; Aaron and Bobby Conner.

Services will be held at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home in Cocoa. There will be a visitation Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 6-8pm and a funeral service on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at Brevard Memorial Park.
