Born on October 2,1967 in Titusville, Florida. Jeffery, more well known as Shawn, will be remembered most by his kind heart and loving nature. He was generous to a fault and those that knew him best would tell you that he would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. His countless acts of service to family, friends and complete strangers are a testament to the honorable life he lived. There was zero hesitancy when opportunities to help others arose, and he wished for others to succeed even if it meant he did not. The word that comes to mind when thinking of Shawn and how he viewed and lived life is admirable. His respect for others was a powerful force felt by everyone around him and deserves to be recognized. His legacy will be honored by his family and friends whom he loved and cared for deeply.
Shawn is survived by his mother, Betty Jane Exline, his wife, Evelyn Sanchez-Exline, his daughters, Alisha Exline, Lauren Exline, Janisse Davila-Thompson and Brianne Davila Sanchez, his grandsons Milo McGuire, Bradyen Narciso and Asher Thompson, his granddaughter Teagan Thompson, and his brother, Glenn Exline Jr. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Exline Sr.
Shawn attended Titusville High School and later pursued higher education at Brevard Community College. He proudly served in the Air Force for six years and had an illustrious career as a firefighter at NASA.
In his free time, Shawn enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the movies and playing with his “little buddy” Milo. He found solace and joy in these activities.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on December 5, 2023 at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island, Florida. The compassionate staff is assisting the family with arrangements.
