James Timothy Sparkman, "Tim", 61, of Port St. John, FL, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018. Born in Decatur, Alabama, Tim moved to Florida in 1980. Tim graduated from Auburn University with a degree in History. He dedicated his life to educating high school students at Titusville High School and later, Astronaut High School before retiring after 33 years.
Tim and his wife, Gloria, loved travelling the world together. He was a part of Clan Munro, a Highland Scottish Clan. He also enjoyed reading.
He is survived by his mother, Jane Sparkman; his beloved wife, Gloria Sparkman; step-daughter: Leigh Thorstenson (husband, Mark); sister, Fayna Workman (husband, Robert; sister-in-law, Joanne Beck (husband, Jim); two nieces: Deanna Crawford (husband Blade) and Kristin Green (husband, Corey); nephew, Grant Workman; three grandchildren: Atticus, Olin, and Ellie; as well as many extended family and friends.
