George J Kadlec

George Joseph (Joe) Kadlec Sr, 82, was called to heaven on Thursday, January 26th by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from his home in Cocoa Beach, FL. Born on January 3, 1930 in Norfolk, Va to George and Estelle Kadlec. He moved his family to Cocoa Beach in 1957 to work as a propulsion technician on the Atlas program for Convair, General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin . He retired in Feburary 1996. He remained active with the Rickity Rocketeers, the First United Methodist Church, and his community. He loved tending to his many fruit trees and crabbing in the river. He never met a stranger and made everyone he met feel special!

He is predeceased by two sisters, Mary Russ and Jean Taylor and two sons, Jay Kadlec and James Kadlec. He is survived by his wife Fran of 62 years, daughter Kathy Wine and husband Mike, brother Pat Kadlec, Daughter in law Kelley Kadlec, Grandchildren: John Jacobs, Jr, (Danal), Joshua Jacobs, Jayson Kadlec, Lisa Wine Herbert (Joe), Melony Wine Rodwell (Mark), Great grandchildren: Tanner Lee Jacobs, Gage Anthony Jacobs, Addison June Rodwell, and Griffin Michael Rodwell.

Viewing at 12 noon- 1PM, service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on January 30, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, 3300 N Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931.

Donations my be made to First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Hospice of Health First, Dairy Rd, Melbourne, FL 32904.
