Danny was a veteran in the United States Air Force and a retiree of the Memphis Police department. As a young man stationed at Patrick AFB, Danny fell in love with 2 things: the State of Florida and traveling. He traveled extensively to all corners of the US and many other countries and never hesitated to share his travels with the people that he loved.
Upon retirement, he wasted no time relocating back to Cape Canaveral. where he threw himself into his volunteer work. As a 32nd degree freemason and past patron of the order of the Eastern Star, he made the lodge in Cocoa Beach his second home. He served in almost every role possible, up to and including Worshipful Master. He was also a proud Shriner and often transported children across the state to receive lifesaving care. And in 2023, Danny was acknowledged as a 10-year volunteer of the Brevard County Sheriff’s department. If he was not at home or at the lodge, he could be found directing traffic or fingerprinting children or any of a hundred other things he was asked to do! He was a member of Grace Bible Presbyterian church where he proudly proclaimed his faith and actively studied the Word of God. He truly lived a selfless life and was the best example of a father and husband that he could be.
