He was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-three years, Frances Hicks; sons, Carlton L. Hicks and Stan D Hicks (Tammy); grandchildren, Samara, Shannon, Travis, David and Blake; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family will be receiving friends for a visitation on May 24, 2016, 10-11 am at First Baptist Church, Merritt Island,140 Magnolia Ave. Merritt Island FL, 32952.
Funeral Services will take place at 11 am also at First Baptist Church Merritt Island.
Carl will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL.
