He shared while traveling through his old neighborhood about his friends and where they lived and their adventures. He was often told he should write a book full of the wonderful stories he shared. Robie traveled to Indiana in the summer to go to his high school and college reunion and in the fall to view the changing colors of the leaves.
Robie enjoyed reading, watching old movies and college basketball, and listening to classical country music every chance he got.
He cherished being an educator for over 40 years. He taught in Missouri, Michigan, Indiana, and Florida. Robie continued to learn after he retired. Robie was an alumnus of Oakland City University and Indiana University. He served in the military as an MP and was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons.
