Virginia G. Tobias

She grew up in Freeport and married Robert M Tobias Sr. in 1953.

Virginia loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed her church, reading the Bible, gardening and volunteering. She was a strong nurturer of her children, her extended family, and her community. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the balance, the strength, and the foundation of the Tobias family. She will be remembered by all as a woman of strong faith and a humble servant of the Lord.

In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Robert M Tobias Sr.; brothers Gonzalo, Julio, Edward and Arthur Garcia and sisters Connie Moreno and Beatrice Garcia. She is survived by her brothers Pete, Oscar, and David Garcia, and sister Margaret Armstrong and by her children Robert M. Tobias Jr. and wife Linda; Rosemary Bravo and husband Albert; Mike Tobias and wife Judy; Joe Tobias and wife Jody; Larry Tobias and wife Darlene; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, TX, officiated by Pastor Rey Cantu and Deacon Ricardo Zapata. Visitation begins at 10am, and funeral services start at 11am, followed by a graveside service. Pallbearers are Alberto Bravo III, J. Ryan Tobias, Michael Tobias, Colton Tobias, Robert Schuck and Neal Underwood.
