Robert Wayne Shiflet

Robert "Wayne" Shiflet, age 54, born on, Thursday, July 4, 1957, was called home to heaven by his Savior, Jesus Christ, on, Friday, June 22, 2012. A memorial service is scheduled for, Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas. Wayne was a Christian who made his profession of faith at age 9. He knew the Lord and was a member of Jones Creek Baptist Church. He was a patriot who loved America and a veteran who served his country in the U.S. Army from 1978 to 1981, 1st Battalion, 508th Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division. Wayne dearly loved his family and is survived by his wife, Stacey (MCCarrell) Shiflet of Seabrook, Texas; daughter, Krystina Shiflet and granddaughters, Hailey, Kylie, Carlee and Legacy of Moore, Oklahoma; parents, I.E. "Buster" and Louise Shiflet of Waco, Texas; brother Mark and his wife, Sandy and their three sons Austin, Bryson and Casen Shiflet of Huntsville, Texas; and brother Justin Shiflet of Bryan, Texas. Wayne was a beloved husband, daddy, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. His humorous personality lit up a room, bringing many smiles and lots of laughter. Because of his relationship with Jesus Christ we know we will see him in heaven, but until then he will be terribly missed. We love you Wayne!
