Robert Pierce Lacaze, Jr, 81, of Brazoria, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 in Clute, after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. Robert was born on April 6, 1941 in Pineville, LA to Robert Pierce Lacaze, Sr and Eula Lee King Lacaze.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Virginia Lacaze and stepdaughter Sandy Holder.
Robert was a pipe fitter by trade but worked many years for various companies as a Piping General Foreman. He met and maintained many friendships along the way.
Pop(s) as he was affectionately known by children and grandchildren is survived by his sons Robert “Bobby” Lacaze III, Phillip Lacaze and their mother Melba Kyle of Clute, Kenneth “Kenny” Lacaze of Brazoria, stepchildren Kathy (Gene) Hoyt of Seminole, OK, Ricky (Sherlene) Shelton of Carlsbad, NM, Jimmy (Greta) Shelton of West Columbia, Darryl Shelton of Houston. He is also survived by his grandchildren Tairynn Music, Lane Anderson, Dustin Lacaze, Cody Lacaze, Joni Ramos, Jared Brown, Derek Lacaze, Kaylee Harmon, Richard Thompson, Justin Shelton, Johnathan Shelton, Jason Foor, Jim Shelton, Lacey Shelton, Darryl James Shelton, Chip Fletcher, Shannoe Holder, Shaun Holder, Chad Holder and JC Holder and numerous great-grandchildren. Robert also leaves behind his sisters Darlene Holcomb, of North Carolina, Ardys Lacaze of West Columbia, Sandra Ritcher, of League City and Annette Moore of Houston, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Restwood Funeral Home in Lake Jackson, TX.
