Our White Christmas 2016. This was a bucket list for me and I am so thankful we were able to make it happen. Resha in the snow was a once in a lifetime experience. We had such a good time. 🩷

My girl!  You loved your sunglasses, watches, purses and costume jewelry. I loved your radiant smile. I miss not hearing you call me mama. But I thank God you are with your Jesus. You are loved in Heaven and on Earth. 🩷

There were 4 accessories Resha  loved. Her sunglasses, her purses, her watches and her bling.  Resha lives on forever in my heart. I miss her terribly but I know she walks with Jesus today. 💜

Remembering my sweet friend today. Reasha had a way of lighting up a room with her smile. She changed so many lives. She was like a sister to me. Until I see her again in heaven, I will miss her here on earth.

One of my favorite memories with Resha is the first time I tried to get her in my suburban.  Now you have to picture this. 
I pulled up the suburban to the curb in the car rider line at our school. I opened  the passenger door and Resha backed up to the seat. We thought that she could reach up, hold the grab bar, and I could lift her in. There was only one problem with that, Resha  doesn’t bend! 
She and I were laughing so hard we were crying  as we tried to figure out how to get her into my car. We finally moved the seat all the way back and I was able to swing her legs around and get her in comfortably. We laughed like little girls for a half an hour after that. I will always remember her infectious laugh, her amazing smile and of course her of course her faithful heart. I was beyond blessed to be able to be her friend!

Resha was an amazing human being and I am a better person for knowing her.  When I was diagnosed she was the first to tell me that my attitude would determine my path more than any medicine ever could. When I was NED, she told me it was time to get to work for others. When she told me she would see me when I got there, I told her I still had work to do here and she said, "Heck yeah, you do! I love you!" Always inspiring and sharing hope. 

Where do I come up with the words to write when the person that I asked for wording is Tanner?  I felt like I was one of the only ones in our department that called you Tanner, but I was Miller to you. It just worked for us. 
I met you when you came to BISD. I was lucky enough to work with you as a teacher and diagnostician.  We have so many memories together from you allowing me to test your kids, fogging our room for ants, to our personal hashtag #neurological.  Heck, you wouldn’t even hang up when I told you, “hold on, let me __.” You would answer Peyton's phone calls when she was hanging out in the office and called you a thousand times – she loved to talk with you.  You are my most memorized extension 13255. 
We grew so much in our professions over the years. I’ll never forget the time I asked, “Why didn’t you __?” (I dare not tell anyone else what it was, lol) Your response was, “Well, I don’t know how to do that?” Sending reports to ask, what do you think about __? Or the “Help, I’m in this meeting…” Who would have thought others would call us asking for help after our first years?
Thank you for always being there for me despite any troubles you were going through.  I called you first to pray for my dad when I found out he had lung cancer.  I knew you would have the right words to say to me.  I miss my daily check-ins and hearing Keith when he came to pick you up from work saying, "Miller, she's gotta go!" Thank you for reminding me how to be a better wife and mother with the unconditional love you showed for your family.
I miss you, Tanner. I just want…One more time to hear my phone ring and see 13255 on that screen. One more time to ask how to word something. One more time to have you listen to me complain. One more time to talk about how we need a margarita. One more time to talk about if your hair should be red or blonde, short or long. One more time to see that text from you. Just one more time with you.  Until we meet again, I love you!

I met Resha when she came to work at O.A. Fleming Elementary as the special education teacher.  She was upbeat, energetic, and friendly.  My classroom was diagonal from hers.  I was a reading specialist, so we both helped kids who needed extra love and attention.  Our schedules were similar and we found we had common interests so we visited quite a bit and became friends.  We both attended Family Life church with our husbands and we both had two young kids.  We loved our families deeply and loved to share our kids’ exploits and how they were doing.  Then she moved on to fulfill her dream and become a diagnostician for the district.    We kept in touch and fast-forward- we both found ourselves and our families at Life4Square church and both having health problems.  We texted, joked, prayed, and shared our frustrations with our treatments, side-effects, health, and life.  We saw each other through trials and triumphs.  We both knew God was bigger than our highs and our lows.  We shared our fears and our faith.  We shared songs to uplift and scriptures.  We both knew our ultimate healing rested in God and if He didn’t provide it on Earth He would provide it in Heaven.  I can’t wait to see my friend again, walking without pain, and praising God on streets of gold.  Be blessed to be a blessing.💕

I had the privilege of being a youth leader at Parkway Baptist when Resha was in youth group. She always had a smile and a love for Jesus that shined. She was determined, smart, and beautiful inside and out. She was a leader. Many years later I saw her at a Casting Crowns concert. She was so proud to Introduce me to her sweet family. Her light and love for the Lord were an example for others.  

My heart is so heavy that Resha did not win her battle on this side of glory.   I so wanted that for her. We must trust in God, our Father,  and I know Resha did!  She truly turned her trails into triumphs as she spoke and witnessed of God’s faithfulness in difficult times and of His goodness in happier times ! I had the privilege to know Resha at Gateway and also work with her at Vogel.  Keith, you were the light of her life! 💗. Her kids were a treasure from heaven above ! Her mom, Alana, surely raised her to be strong and she was !  I encouraged Resha and she encouraged me on my walk! “Iron sharpens iron”. Thank you, my friend.

Resha, my goodness what a blessing it was to meet you and be around you.  My first encounter was at South Lake EMS and North Channel.  You had a bubbly personality and was such a joy to be around.  Greg and I thought so much of you and your mom.  I recall at Greg’s paramedic graduation how you sang “Wind Beneath My Wings”.  Not a dry eye in that room.  Your voice was so angelic.  The years have gone by quickly and I know Greg is going to have such wonderful company in heaven.  I could write a novel about you.  But I want to convey my deepest sympathies to all of your family. Resha and I have known each other since we were five years old. I met her in kindergarten. She had the most beautiful long thick hair that her mother braided for her everyday. As young kids we went through all of our firsts together and there was nothing she didn’t know about me. Throughout life she has always known the real me and she has always been there for me. At the age of 14 we were in a youth and government group in high school where we competed in mock trials. In order to compete we had to raise money for the event. One of the fundraisers was an all night lock-in, babysitting elementary aged children (fun times lol.) That following morning while we were waiting on our parents to pick us up, I had my first seizure ever, sitting right next to Resha. From that moment on the roles for she and I seemed to reverse. For a time, I was the one carrying her books and making sure she didn’t fall and helping her in the bathroom, etc,  but almost overnight it all changed. She started telling me to slow down and get rest, and she would actually get mad at me whenever I wouldn’t. I didn’t want to admit that my life was different now, but she knew and she never stopped from that point on. She scolded me when she had to, but through all of it, she loved me. Life went on and we didn’t always get to see much of each other after marriage and kids honestly  because neither one of us could drive, but we spoke regularly and we always knew what was going on in each other’s life. She will always be a sister to me and she will always be a part of our family. She was and is a legacy of grace and love, a true example of what Christ has called us to be. Her presence will be missed, but her legacy will live on forever in our hearts and memories!!!

I first met Resha because her kids were in our youth group! The kids were so amazing and the apple didn't fall far from the tree. 

Resha and I mostly connected online. She knew to ask for help when she needed prayer! She reached out in encouragement and prayer when she knew you needed it! 

Her faith through everything always amazed me. It helped strengthen mine for sure! 

But she was also honest and let you know when the enemy was trying to rob her of peace and joy. Her humor and faith always won out over the thoughts! 

Resha did an Enjoying the Holiday Challenge with me last year and I am so glad we had the time we did talking about life and family! 

She wanted to make sure her kids knew how much she loved them and how proud she was of them. 

I remember there was a need in our group for some Christmas gifts and without hesitation she had her family gather to help them! 

That is who she was at the core!!!

She has made such a difference in so many lives. She is a true example of Jesus!

Resha, thank you for living out your faith so fully, passionately and unashamedly. You made loving others as Christ first loved you look easy, although I know it definitely wasn’t. I don’t have any one huge memory of you, (except for an exceptionally awesome Skillet show) just many small examples of your kindness in a world that frequently did not return the favor. You were the VERY BEST of us, and you’re going to be truly missed. See you at the feet of the savior. 

For the Tanner family-please know you are in our thoughts and prayers each and every day and want you all to know how very loved Resha was.  She was passionate about her family, our students, her team and absolutely loved what she did.  Her work ethic was like no other.  Resha was a constant support for team members and friends and always looking for a way to help others.  I could always count on her to answer the phone and we’d exchange- “Hi Sunshine”  and I’d greet her “Hey Princess”.  Her smile and humor will be missed and she will forever be in our hearts. 

All of my memories of time spent with Resha are fond memories. She always made me laugh and always found the good in everything. She had a smile that would light up a room and lift your spirits no matter what was going on in life. 

My fondest memory was helping move Resha and Keith from Conroe down to Lake Jackson. It was late at night and the 3 of us were riding in the U-Haul on the second trip of the day. We laughed and sang whatever song was playing at the time. We were all exhausted from moving, loading and unloading all day, but we were making the best of it.  That was so much fun. 

Resha was one of a kind. I have never met anyone like her. She always cared about what was going on in your world. Good or bad - Resha would intently listen and give some encouragement. You always felt important and loved when you were around Resha. As I write this, tears are pouring down my face remembering my friend. She will forever live on in my heart. I am blessed for knowing such a special woman. Her and Keith were like family to us. I loved Resha like a sister.

I met Resha many years ago just after her graduation from high school.   
She walked into North Channel EMS and wanted to dispatch for us. I don’t think I’ve ever met a more cute, sassy, smart, spunky, determined, and confident individual like her. She turned into one of the best dispatchers we ever had. 
Her smile and determination was ever present. Her confidence level was supreme. You see, she was taught by the best. Even though she had a special need, one never saw that in her. Her parents taught her to be independent. And she was!!! 
Resha taught me so many things over the years. She taught me how to lean on my Savior again and to increase my faith. Even though I believed I had become lacking in faith. She taught me no matter what you are going through, you never have to do it alone. 
She loved her friends and family fiercely. What a testament to her and Keith that their kids are now in college and are wonderful humans with a strong loving legacy. 
She will be sorely missed on earth. She could light up an entire room with her smile and infectious laughter and her kindness. I have no doubt she is in the presence of Jesus. That is comforting to know positively. May she Rest In Peace.

What a great friend I had in Resha. I’m sure you felt it too. It was easy to be her friend. She was open, honest, and available to listen, and she cared and loved so well.  I met Resha soon after she and Keith married. Their love for one another was open for all the world to see. They were a gift to each other.    
I will miss her until I see her again, but I have comfort as I know she is healed and singing praises in heaven waiting for us to join her. 

I met Resha when I worked for Kelly. Even though we never met in person, we had countless DM conversations and many phone calls for a while there. She was always so uplifting and just had the most radiant personality. She loved her husband and kids fiercely. She loved her friends with all she had, but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the most and His light always came through. We rejoice because she's with Him now, but we who are left behind grieve her loss. 
Much, much love to her entire family and many prayers. Resha will be very much missed. 

Sweet Resha was such a joy to be around. I have so many memories of my short time as her friend. We worked at Clute together, and her office was a haven for me on rough days. I could always count on her for a smile or a laugh. My favorite and most blessed moment with her was after school one day. I had stayed a little late, and she texted me to ask if I was still there. I walked to her office where I found her crying. She asked if I would pray for her. I was honored to. This was days before she had her seizures and stroke, and she didn’t even remember asking or even praying with me that day. What struck me later was that even in her confusion, she knew exactly what she needed: Jesus. I got to be that bridge to Jesus for her in that moment - what an extreme honor that was. I can see her now; dancing in heaven snd making everyone smile. What a beautiful picture. 

Resha was the dearest friend one could ask for.  She was a giver of godly wisdom, a kicker in the pants when necessary, and always, always, a loving friend.  She loved her family and loved her Lord, and if you stepped in her office, you could see the loves of her life all over the walls.  Resha Lea, I will miss our BMC sessions, I will miss your loving presence in my life, and as I told you when last we saw each other, you better meet me at the gate when I get there, we have some dancing to do. I have had the honor of knowing Resha for only about 2 years but I’m so thankful our paths crossed. She was so positive and upbeat, even through her struggles. She cared so much about our school and our kids.  She was dedicated and never let anything stop her. I know that she now is with Jesus and will be waiting for all of us at the gates.  Resha, I love you! Praying for the whole family. 

Resha and I worked together at Clute Intermediate and she bought a Christmas nativity from me. One of my best memories was her anticipation for the nativity during the time I was working. She was so excited to have another way to share her faith! Her love for Jesus spilled out of her in every one of my interactions with her. I’m grateful for her witness. Her students and coworkers couldn’t be around her without knowing her faith. Jesus was real to her and His light shone brightly through her. She will be missed greatly, but she left a wake of  hope in Jesus behind her and we were all changed.  

Resha was a passionate worshipper, a strong believer, a faithful friend, and a great mother. Her faith, resilience, and strength was unmatched. Her love for Keith and the playfulness between them was a breath of fresh air. The kids adore her and I am so proud of how she loved and parented them through all the ups and downs of her health battles. Resha was a complete joy and one of the most beautiful and funny people I have ever known. She made me laugh every time we were together. I will miss her but I know when I see her again we will run and dance and sing together as we worship our precious Jesus. 

I did not have the honor of knowing Resha personally, however she has touched my heart profoundly. Her beautiful spirit and courage I witnessed through recent social media posts made me remember that there is goodness and light in this world. And for that I will be ever grateful. I pray for peace and healing of those she left behind, and know that a glorious Heavenly reunion awaits them. God bless

I still remember meeting you guys for the first time in Erie. I loved how welcoming you were and how we instantly became friends. To know you was to know love. I watched you at the end of the table with my little girl. She was drawn to you and you were so good with her, even though she talks a lot! I’m sorry I never made it down to see y’all again. Your famous line be blessed to be a blessing has stuck with me. Your memory will live on through the hearts of your beautiful children! See you on the other side Resha ❤️

Resha was an angel on earth before she received her wings. I know she is in heaven with a full head of crazy hi-lighted hair, belly button ring, and prob some amazing new tattoo. I know she is partying hard and dancing with Jesus. It’s such a special day in heaven. My favorite memories of her are calling me to gossip about work and offering me a donut knowing I refuse to eat carbs or sugar. She sure tried lol.. she was an amazing lover of the Lord, friend, mom, wife, and overall just ROCKED!!!

Also, a shout out to Keith. I have never seen such an amazing man in my life. 

I met Resha online thru a group called "The Faith Room" started by my daughter after she battled cancer and other adversities in her own life. Resha was such an amazing contributor as she was always sharing her faith and praying for others. We eventually became fb friends and continued sharing our lives thru fb.  I was amazed at the strength Resha showed and her amazing love for God. It was along time after we met that I realized she had CP. She never let this define her. It was her Christian faith that was her identity. That and her love for Keith, Aaron and Ainslea.  She was the light in so many lives. Our world will be a little dimmer for a bit, but will continue to be brighter, as we remember Resha. She taught us to "be blessed to be a blessing".  Resha we have been blessed 🙌  by you. 

What can I say about Resha? She was my true friend through thick and thin. To see us together, I'm sure many wondered why or how we were friends, but we knew. Our bond goes back to a pair of five-year-olds who lived down the street from each other and were in the same first grade class. We bonded over Barbie's and General Hospital and Patrick Swayze. We remained friends in junior high and high school, and during our first years of college, we even carpooled to San Jac. I was foolish enough to drag Resha up mountains and put her on escalators. I'm pretty sure I got her into more trouble growing up than all her other friends combined. When Resha moved to Lubbock, some friendships might have ended, but not ours. I visited and was maid of honor at her wedding, and shared the joys and heartaches when she became a mother. When she moved back to Houston, our friendship revived as I got to be "auntie" to Aaron and Ainslea. When she began a new life with Keith, I loved seeing her so happy, and was further delighted when Keith's work brought her down south to West Columbia. Keith would laugh that Resha and I would sit together in a room and not talk, but watch TV or play on our phones. After 42 years of friendship, we didn't need to talk. I will forever miss the pleasure of her company. I will itch to text her every time I watch General Hospital and want to make a snarky comment. I will miss sitting on the phone with her for two hours critiquing celebrity gowns and figure skating. I will miss listening to stories about her family shenanigans, and most of all, I will miss her ever present smile or her crying through every good and bad moment. Resha was a blessing to all who knew her, and I only wish we all could have been blessed longer.

Resha had a beautiful heart.  My nephew was killed in a car wreck and she didn’t hesitate to help my family make his children first Christmas amazing. I will always hold her in my heart. I will continue to pray for her husband and children.

My Dear Resha, where do I even begin. There are so many memories that I will forever cherish. We became friends just a few short years ago in High School and what a friendship it became. There is nothing that would ever break the bond we formed. My most cherished memory was taking you to prom and what an honor and privilege it was. I became your big mean teddy bear protector, but in all reality you knew how to break through to my soft side. The looks you would give me when I was being me reined me back in instantly. Then I had the privilege to meet your Saint of a husband and you're two blessings and they are spot on so you. I call it an extra honor to protect them two now as I always did you. You will be missed greatly my friend and until we meet again I will do my best to "Be blessed to be a blessing" as you were to so many. Love ya always my friend.

What a beautiful person we have the privilege of calling friend in Resha. Years ago, we first met her as Christopher's 5th grade teacher.  We quickly knew she would be someone important in our lives and what a blessing she was!!! God is good and like many others she encouraged us and lifted us up during tough times. We will miss you, Resha, but will see you again one day!!! ❤Amen!
