I was born to my parents Clarene Alana Curry and Gary Donald Cooper on January 30, 1974 in Hermann Hospital, Houston Texas. I married the love of my life, Keith Tanner in Conroe, Texas on December 20th 2008.
I initially attended San Jacinto College then later graduated from Texas Tech University with both my bachelor and masters degrees. While in Lubbock, I worked for the Covenant Health System as a Patient Advocate on an amazing multi-disciplinary team in the Rehabilitation Department assessing and encouraging patients. I found my deeper calling and worked for the last 15 years as a special education teacher and diagnostician in the public school systems at both Conroe Independent School District and Brazosport Independent School District making so many wonderful friends along the way.
I came to know Jesus as my Savior at a very young age.
I have been a Jesus following Christian ever since, sharing the gospel of Jesus in song and personal testimony, and giving glory to God regardless of life’s challenges.
I was to have a brother in Gary Christopher Cooper but God called him home as an infant.
My awesome grandparents Allan and Clarene McCorvey, and Paul and Grace Cooper all taught me by example what life long loving commitment looked like.
As I go, I leave behind my sweet and supportive husband Keith Tanner, my incredible godly son Aaron Barber, and beautiful godly daughter Ainslea Barber. Thank you to my mom and best blessing of all, Alana Curry and husband Kelly. Thank you to my always supportive Dad, Gary Cooper and his wife Dixie.
A group of honorable friends are serving as my pallbearers, Jeff Speer, Danny Riggs, Skip Smith, Kenneth Pryor, Josh Lara, Robert Timm, Thanks to each of you.
And to everyone “Be blessed to be a blessing”
