Becky was born to Tom and Dorothy Ferguson on March 9, 1948 in Argus, IN.
Becky married Phillip Newcomb in Plymouth, IN on 01/29/1972.
Becky was an active and devoted member of Brazosport Baptist Temple where she found great joy in sharing the word of God, offering spiritual comfort, and fostering a community of love and acceptance. Becky was heavily involved in various church activities and outreach programs, including Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Sunday School. With an open heart, she also served on multiple church committees, always keen to bring people together and help the church thrive in its mission.
Becky always saw the good in others, she was known for offering many a second chance, reflecting the love and grace that she so firmly believed in. Her compassion was not confined to the church alone. She also devoted her time to shaping young minds and hearts as a Cub Scout leader and took pride in being an involved homeroom mom.
Becky grew up in a single mother family along with her sister Vicki. Vicki said the three of them stood together and against the world. "Becky was the best big sister, she always had my back even when we disagreed."
Those who knew her can attest to her infectious, signature laugh, the warmth of her smile, the kindness in her eyes, and the comfort of her words. The love she shared was boundless, and her legacy will continue in the many lives she touched and the positive change she fostered.
Becky is preceded in death by mother Dorothy Cox and father Tom Ferguson.
