Patricia Jo Walker “Patty”, 66, of Clute, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 29, 2019, in Houston. Patty was born on May 24, 1952, in Brownsville, Texas to the late Dorothy Anne Fischer Walker and Albert B. Walker Jr.
Patty was a fun, loving person who enjoyed her job at Mobil Oil as a Marine Base Foreman. When Patty was young, she was an avid softball player. Pitchers were so afraid of her swing that they use to roll the ball up to the plate to try and avoid Patty from hitting a homerun. She enjoyed spending time with her family and though Patty had no children of her own, she considered every niece and nephew as her own.
Patty will be reunited with her parents and her life partner Cathy Broaddus.
Those left to carry Patty’s memory are listed as follows: her sister and best friend Diana Duval (Russell); brothers, Doug Walker Sr. (Mary Jo) and David Walker (Dawn); nieces, Heather Callihan (Jim), Shelly Smith (Brett) and Kayla Walker; nephews, Brandon Emerson, Doug Walker Jr., Devon Walker (Ashton) and David Walker Jr.; along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She will also be greatly missed by her fur-baby Brandy.
Pallbearers will be Doug Walker Sr., David Walker, Jim Callihan, Brett Smith, Jeb Broaddus and Jason Curry. Honorary Pallbearers are Doug Walker Jr., Devon Walker, Jakob Worrell, Camden Kay, and David Walker Jr.
A Celebration of Patty’s Life will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3, at 11:00 am. Family will be greeting guests and sharing memories from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Patty’s name to the American Cancer Society.
