Patricia Lee “Pat or Patty” Perry, 76, of Spring, Texas formally Clute, Texas went to be with the Lord and her husband Bob on March 20, 2017, sadly CHF took her. She was born on November 18, 1940 in Berlin, New Hampshire, and grew up in Somerset, Massachusetts.
Pat was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a fun loving person. Pat met the love of her life Robert J. “Bob” Perry who was a US Marine and through letters fell in love and married on July 6, 1961. Pat was an amazing seamstress and worked many years in the Fall River, MA mills. In 1975, they left their families and friends and moved to Clute, Texas. Pat never lost her “Yankee” accent and Mark her son-in-law teased her by calling her “Patty from Fall River”! Here in Texas, Pat worked in the school cafeterias before retiring early to be a full time travel partner with her husband Bob. The couple traveled all over the world and especially loved to cruise; they also loved to gamble and never met a casino they did not like! Pat also loved to volunteer at Helping Hands and Hearts Hospice Store, she loved the people she worked with so much. Pat truly loved her children, but the joy she experienced with her grandchildren and great granddaughters went to the next level; they made her shine with pride and joy.
She is survived by her children, Denise & Bill Leitch of Freeport, Robert Scott Perry of Freeport and Wendy & Mark Whiting of Spring; grandchildren, Marlena Hedine, of Spring, Ryan Leitch of Conroe, Tyler Daughrity of Conroe, Lauren Piwonka of Deer Park, Bailey Daughrity of Tomball and Ashley & Heather Whiting of Deer Park; great-granddaughters, Ryleigh & Brooklyn Hedine of Spring and Madison Browning of Deer Park; loving brother-in-law Kenneth J. Perry of Somerset, MA and loving sister-in-law Elaine & Richard Alves of Westport, MA; along with special nephews and nieces in Massachusetts that she loved dearly. And her precious fur babies, Bobbie Jo and Barkley.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. “Bob” Perry and in-laws Manuel & Lena Perry.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; service to follow at noon at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, with a private family burial to follow.
