Marcus “Marc” Felcman, age 71, of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Marc was born in Sealy, Texas to Adolph Felcman and Alice Zurek Felcman. Marc was raised on a farm in Wallis, Texas. He attended Guardian Angel Catholic School in Wallis and graduated from Wallis High School in 1959. He met Gaydell Borgel of Sealy, Texas on a blind date while in high school and she became the love of his life. They were married in 1964 in a ceremony held in the Wallis Catholic Church. He graduated from the University of Texas with a Chemical Engineering degree and worked for Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas for 34 years before retiring in 1997. He was baptized in the Wallis Catholic Church and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Lake Jackson, Texas. He was a devoted family man who adored his family and they always came first in his life. He loved his family took great pride in his granddaughters Brittany and Katelyn Felcman and Rachel Anderson who affectionately called him “Popup”. They were the light of his life. He seldom missed going to any of his children’s or grandchildren’s school and extracurricular activities. He had fond memories of Gaydell and him participating in square dancing with friends, and family vacations to New Braunfels and ski trips to Colorado. Marc is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gaydell Emma Felcman; son, Kenneth Felcman and his wife Annette of Lake Jackson; daughter, Kimberly Felcman Anderson of Lake Jackson; granddaughters, Brittany Felcman, Katelyn Felcman and Rachel Anderson of Lake Jackson; brother, Francis Felcman and his wife Delores of Rosenberg, Texas; sister-in-law, Lottie Hluchan and her husband Charlie of Sealy, Texas; nephews, Chris Felcman and his wife Nancy of Magnolia, Texas, Jeff Felcman of Houston, Texas, Charlie Hluchan and his wife Elaine of Katy, Texas; numerous cousins and their families and special lifelong, close, friends Charles and Betty Jo Hickl.
