Lawrence Edward Kitchens, Larry E Aka. Kitchens Jr.

Larry was born to Linda Schanfish Ponder on July 12, 1968 in Freeport, TX.

Larry was a fun loving feller. He loved watching baseball and football, especially the Astros and the Texans. He enjoyed fishing at Surfside beach, hunting, golfing and frying turkey for the family on Thanksgiving. He entertained his children, nieces and nephews with many stories and tricks, including his famous “slide of the thumb” and redneck ninja kicking. He loved making people laugh!

He was preceded in death by his stepfather Ronald Grant Ponder, biological father Lawrence Edward Kitchens Sr., and brother David Ray Kitchens.

Larry leaves behind with many blessings and to celebrate his life; his loving fiancé, Michelle Weatherly of Lake Jackson; son, Colin Kitchens of Splendora; daughter, Allie Kitchens of Spring; mother, Linda Ponder of Lake Jackson; sister, Sheri and Jon Berryhill of Lake Jackson; sister, Debra Gerrard of Brazoria; sister, Lisa and Chuck Cadenhead of Brazoria; sister, Laurel Clark of Palestine; sister, Rhonda and David Sweeten of Sweeny; sister, Amy and Tim Miller of Lake Jackson; grandson, Levi Gene Williams of Splendora; granddaughter, Dixie Juanell Williams of Splendora, and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry also had many loving friends where he worked at Memorial Herman Hospital in Pearland.

A private family celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
