Jose Abrahan Hernandez

Jose was born on March 17, 1989 in Mission, TX to Martha and Rufino Hernandez.

He spent a large part of his adulthood in New York. He loved the big city and how open-minded people were there. Anyone who sat down to have a conversation with him knew he had a lot of knowledge to share and always offered a different perspective on things. On his extra time, he enjoyed reading a good book and smoking a Padron cigar. He would always encourage his siblings to read books. He would say they needed to read to open up their minds and better understand things. His favorite genres were philosophy, theory and history. One of his favorite books was “The Prince” by Niccolo Machiavelli.

He was also a gamer. At a very young age he received his first video game console and it never stopped from there. He would also participate in competitions. He was a beast at it.

Recently, he had developed a love for motorcycles. He invested a lot of his time and any money that he had into fully repairing his first bike himself. He also went on to get a job working on bikes in Houston. He wanted to learn as much as he could. He had hopes of one day owning his own shop.

Most importantly, he made changes to better himself and his future for his daughter. He longed for both of their green set of eyes to meet face to face again. He might not be here today, but he left a piece of him that reflects immensely in his daughter.

Even though he is no longer walking amongst us, we know he is in a better place. A place where there is peace and no evil. A place where he can smile. We know when it is our time to go, he will be there waiting for us. Jose, we love you and we will forever miss you.

Jose is survived by his Daughter: Jasele Azeneth Hernandez; His Mother and Father: Martha and Rufino Hernandez; Brother: Jesus Hernandez; Sisters: Monica Elicerio (Alejandro Elicerio), Jannely Hernandez (Jovanny Guerrero); Nieces: Alina Elicerio, Camila Guerrero; Nephews: Emilio Guerrero, Alan Elicerio, Paulo Guerrero. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Grandmother: Maria Cruz Zamarripa; Grandfather: Monico Cardenas and Uncle: Francisco Javier Cardenas.

A Visitation will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on December 2, 2021 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jerome's Catholic Church on December 3, 2021 at 10:30am, followed by a graveside at Restwood Memorial Park.

Nuestro amado Padre, Hijo, Hermano y amigo, José Abrahán Hernández, de 32 años, se fue para estar con el Señor el 25 de Noviembre de 2021 en Richwood, TX. José nació el 17 de Marzo de 1989 en Mission, TX de Martha y Rufino Hernández.

José pasó gran parte de su vida en Nueva York. Le encantaba la gran ciudad y la gente de mente abierta que había allí. Cualquiera que se sentara a conversar con él sabía que tenía mucho conocimiento para compartir y siempre ofrecía una perspectiva diferente sobre las cosas. En su tiempo extra, el disfrutaba leyendo un buen libro y fumando un puro Padrón. Siempre animaba a sus hermanos a leer libros. Decía que necesitaban leer para abrir sus mentes y comprender mejor las cosas de la vida. Le gustaban los libros sobre filosofía, teoría e historia. Uno de sus libros favoritos fue "El Príncipe" de Niccolo Machiavelli.

También le encantaba jugar videojuegos. A una edad muy temprana recibió su primera consola de videojuegos y nunca paró desde allí. También participaba en competencias de videojuegos. Él era una bestia en eso.

Recientemente, había desarrollado un amor por las motocicletas. Invirtió mucho de su tiempo y el dinero que tenía en reparar él mismo su primera moto. También consiguió un trabajo reparando motos en Houston. Quería aprender lo más que pudiera. Tenía la esperanza de algún día ser dueño se su propio taller.

Lo más importante, es que hizo cambios para mejorarse el mismo y su futuro para su hija. El anhelaba que llegara el día cuando los dos pares de ojos verdes se vieran de nuevo cara a cara. Puede que no esté aquí hoy, pero dejó una parte de él que se refleja inmensamente en su hija.

Aunque ya no camina entre nosotros, sabemos que está en un lugar mejor. Un lugar donde hay paz y no hay maldad. Un lugar donde puede sonreír. Sabemos que cuando llegue nuestro momento de irnos, el estará allí esperándonos. José, te amamos y te extrañaremos por siempre.

A José le sobreviven su hija: Jasele Azeneth Hernández; Su Madre y Padre: Martha y Rufino Hernández; Hermano: Jesús Hernández; Hermanas: Monica Elicerio (Alejandro Elicerio), Jannely Hernández (Jovanny Guerrero); Sobrinas: Alina Elicerio, Camila Guerrero; Sobrinos: Emilio Guerrero, Alan Elicerio, Paulo Guerrero. También le sobreviven muchos familiares y amigos.

Se reunirá en el cielo con su Abuela: María Cruz Zamarripa; Abuelo: Monico Cardenas y Tío: Francisco Javier Cardenas.
