Estella was born in Frederick, Oklahoma to the late Antonio R Galvan and Maria De Los Santos Galvan of Blessing, Texas. She was a migrant worker in her adolescent years traveling for work to Michigan, California, Florida, Georgia and Texas with her parents and siblings. She married Pete Soliz on May 5, 1973 in Blessing, Texas. In 1975, they moved to Freeport, Texas, and in 1978, they moved to Clute, Texas.
She was a homemaker for several years, raising 4 daughters ,Melissa, Amanda, and twins, Rachel and Rebecca. In the mid 90's she worked as a seamstress for Mill Outlet. Shortly after, she worked for Brazosport College in Food Services and later went to work for Brazosport Memorial Hospital (CHI St Lukes) where she remained for the last 25 years in the Linen Department.
Estella enjoyed gardening and had a natural green thumb. She also loved to spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She and her grandchildren would make Christmas cookies annually. She loved listening to praise and worship and had the biggest faith in her Lord and Savior. Anyone who met her, met a beautiful soul with a beautiful smile. Her favorite color was Peach and her favorite bible verse was
John 3:16. Estella was the true definition of a Proverbs woman.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Pete Soliz of Clute; daughter Melissa (Frank) Ramirez of Richwood; daughter, Amanda (Ruben) Hernandez of Lake Jackson; daughter Rachel (Daren) Mohammed of Clute, daughter Rebecca Soliz (David) of Richwood and bonus son- James (Michelle) Rodriguez of Columbia Lakes.
Grandchildren: Jeremiah, Makayla, Zoie, Janelle, Arianna, Dallas, Adam, Sarah, Abby, Nina, Sharissa, Sereena, Mariah, Nadiah, Graci, Isaac, Jayden, Marissa and one great grandson on the way.
Siblings: Marcelino, Gloria, Carlos, Mike, Danny, Ester, Robert, Alex, Eddie, Becky and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elia Blanca Soliz; Mother, Maria De Los Santos Galvan; Father, Antonio R Galvan; sister, Antonia Garcia; brother, Antonio Galvan Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at her church of 30 years, Destiny Church, 211 S Lazy Lane Clute, Texas on August 19, 2023 with Pastor Cedric Johnson. Visitation is 11am, with services beginning at 12:00pm, interment to her final resting place will follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
