Elida Garcia, 72 of Freeport, TX went to be with the Lord on 7/8/2014 in Lake Jackson, TX. Elida was born 3/8/1942 to Rosendo Melendez and Maria Irene Melendez Sauceda in Matamoros, Mexico. Elida married Miguel Garcia Galvan in San Fernando, Mexico.
Elida is survived by her husband, Miguel Garcia of Freeport, her son, Miguel and Maria A. Garcia of Freeport, sisters; Bertha Garcia of Freeport and Claudia B. Jose A. Mendoza of Jones Creek. Elida is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
Visitation for Elida will be at Restwood Funeral Home Tuesday 7/15/14 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church with burial to follow at Gulf Prairie Cemetery in Jones Creek, Texas.
