Delma Barrera Flores

Delma earned her wings at the age of 66, in Sugarland TX on November 15th, 2022, she was surrounded by the love, warmth and care of her family.

Delma was born on May 30, 1956, in Los Fresnos, Texas, shortly after, her parents moved the family to Freeport Texas where she was a lifelong resident.

She is preceded in her death by her Grandparents, Refujio & Guadalupe Linares, parents Lovelace & Juanita Soirez Sr, brothers Fidencio Linares & Javier Barrera, niece Amber Nicole Salazar and Mother-in-law Gregoria Flores, former Son in Law, Troy Norrell.

Delma is survived by spouse Steven Flores, her three children, daughter's Jessika Nunez and Cynthia Norrell, son Adan Jauregui and wife Carolina.

Six grandchildren; Brandon Nunez, Joseph Nunez, Geramy Nunez, Ava Norrell, Liliana Perez, Valentina Jauregui and seven great grandchildren.

Brothers; Lovelace Soirez Jr and wife Susie, Richard Soirez and wife Lucy. Sister; Elaine Doucet and husband Jesse, Georgina Salazar and husband Arthur, Marie Haynes and husband John.

Delma was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Wife. She had a passion for her Family, friends and entertainment. Delma opened her home, welcoming everyone. Her joys in life were cooking, gardening and crafting. She had the ability to create a fantastic meal out of whatever she had lying around the house and could fill you with an enormous amount of love with just one of her hugs. She was incredibly giving, nurturing, and loving. Delma loved to laugh and brought joy to everyone in her presence. She immediately fell comfortably into the role of grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. She loved her “babies” and they could do no wrong! She spent most of her career with Merit Medical, where she met some of most incredible friends. Delma had the ability to become friends with anyone and the friendships she made lasted her a lifetime. Next to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren her best companions were her fur babies Max and Bevo.

Delma is truly loved and will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

A visitation for Delma will be held from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, with the funeral service to follow at 1 P.M. Interment will be held at Angleton Cemetery.
