David Calvin Hendricks III, 57 years of age, left his earthly home in the early morning hours of March 1, 2021 when he walked into Heaven. Waiting to welcome him home were his parents David Calvin Hendricks Jr., Faye Holsenbeck Hendricks, and his best friend Steve Perry.
He was born on May 3, 1963 in Denver City, Texas to his parents. He was a happy child while being his father’s number one helper when the family self-built most of the family home in Michigan. The family moved to Angleton, Texas in 1978. He loved racing dirt bikes and working on cars with his brothers. David graduated Angleton High School in 1981. He spent a brief time in the Navy and attended TSTI. He was the first person most people would have known to have a home personal computer. David was a computer genius and could be often found helping his family and friends. He had a collection of saltwater fish that he loved, though the love he had for his girls was incomparable to anything. Dawn and Amy, then Kylie and Trey (his grandchildren) were his pride and joy. David will be remembered most for his huge heart and contagious laugh.
David is survived by his children, Dawn Faye Hendricks Thomas and Amy Deanne Hendricks. Grandchildren, Kylie and Trey Thomas. Brothers, Owen Keith Hendricks, Philip Lance Brooks and wife Tammy Brooks, and Jay Elliott Brooks. Step-Mother, JoAnn Hendricks Mayo, and many other family members and friends. Also by his longtime companion Peggy Ansley.
A Memorial Service will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Saturday March 13, 2021 at 2:00pm
