Mrs Carol Ann (Moore) Morales, age 74, of Freeport, Texas passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022. Carol was born at 8:15 am May 13, 1948 in Houston County, Texas to Clifton L. Moore and Thelma Loraine (Davis) Moore. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Minnie Davis, her parents Clifton and Gladys Moore and Thelma and Herman Oberpriller, her brother Larry Moore, her son Michael Morales, her grandchildren Bubba Floyd Morales, Adam Caleb Bowers, and Kimberly Morales.
She is survived by her husband Rodolfo René Morales, her sister Betty Sue Longo and family; her children Rudy Morales, Sharon Morales Ponton and Joe Thomas Morales. Carol had a large extended family. She is survived by 15 grandchildren: Steven, Nova, Lindsey, Annette, Ricky, Savanna, Heaven, Jonathan, Matthew, Anthony, Michael, Jesika, Gavin, Chelsey, Joe Jr., and Dustin. Carol met the love of her life at a young age and began their life together in January of 1965. Carol and René celebrated 57 years of marriage earlier this year. Carol spent many years working in customer service and support for ATT and recalled fondly her memories of coworkers and accomplishments. Carol was an avid member of American Business Women's Association (ABWA). She held many titles during her active membership, including President of her Chapter. She had numerous hobbies, such as painting and pottery. Many of her handicraft pieces are still cherished today. Carol accepted Christ into her life as her personal lord and Savior at a young age. She worshipped at Kinwood Church of Christ for most of her adult life. Carol spread God's love and message wherever she went.
Carol suffered with depression and emotional pain for many of the years of her life and would want those she loved to remember all the good times and the happy years. The biggest lesson she would want to pass on is to always reach out for help. Never think you are alone. Friends and family may not always be right there or remember to say how much they love you; but they are given to us by God to help get us through the dark times and help us find the light again.
