Carl Wesley "Wes" Blocker

Carl Wesley "Wes" Blocker left this world to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 3, 2011. Our beloved son, brother, father, and friend has found peace and rest. Wes entered this world on March 11, 1982 in Webster Texas. He graduated from Brazoswood High School in 2000. Wes was an avid soccer player, loved to fish, and was an accomplished photographer. Wes is survived by his much loved sons Maddox, Jack, and Noah; brothers Steven, Daniel and Kevin; parents Ken and Patti Gimber and Carl and Donna Blocker. Friends and family were the most important elements in Wes' life. His good intentions, for all those he knew, were always pure. We'll miss his wonderful smile. His heart of gold. And we'll always cherish the love he had for all of us. For years, Wes fought an enemy known to many but often ignored. Depression affects almost 10% of the U.S. population over 18 years of age. 80% of those people are receiving no treatment at all. Our hope is that the trend will be reversed and we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to "The Landing", a recovery program sponsored by Brazospointe Fellowship. The visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Restwood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas. Funeral service will be held at Brazospointe Fellowship on Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a private graveside committal.
