Betty was born to Clifton and Hazel McKnight on 07-09-1932 in Livingston, TX.
Betty was married to Lavern Wessels until his passing in 1979. Betty married Jim Thomas and they lived in Clute, TX until his passing.
Betty owned and operated The Added Touch beauty salon and later co-owned GeBe’s Electrolysis shop in Lake Jackson, TX.
Betty was a lady of many talents. When she set her mind to it she could excel at anything. She loved spending time with her 3 boys, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies included painting, beading and quilting. Her coconut cream pie was considered the best in Texas by her family.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Lavern Wessels, her infant son William Craig and years later her husband Jim Thomas.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents Clifton and Hazel McKnight, her brother JL McKnight and her sister Ellen Long.
Betty is survived by her 3 sons; Lynn (Darlene) Strahan, Wayne (Tammi) Wessels and Mark (Jennifer) Wessels. Seven grandchildren and a multitude of great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers; Jared Wessels, Jeremy Strahan, Donovan Hahn, Steven Ackermann, Greg Edwards and Jordan Hovermale; and Cullen Strahan as an Honorary Pallbearer.
Visitation will be held at Restwood Funeral Home Wednesday May 9, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Thursday May 10, 2018 at 11:00am, followed by the graveside at Restwood Memorial Park.
