Alma Alicia Garcia, 43 of Clute, Texas passed away November 15, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. Born December 6, 1979 in Freeport, Texas to Clemente and Silvia Garcia, Alma was the second to the youngest of 6 children. She worked 6 years for Hobby Lobby as a CSM where she met lots of people. She was the beautiful smile you saw when you first walked in.
Alma was lifetime resident of Clute, TX where she loved spending time with family and friends. Alma loved all her family, but she had a special bond with her nieces and nephews. Carolina, Javier Jr., Clarissa (Clario) Bonus Niece Ailema, Clem, Joshua, Lyndsey, Edgar Jr. (Juju), Eliseo (Seo), Evelyn and her great nephew Christopher (Baby Chris). Carolina and Javi were her “OGs” she loved them dearly. When Clari arrived in 2005 she was head over heels about her. Loved shopping trips and dinning out with Clario, she loved every minute of planning her Quince. Alma loved her gentle giant Clem and his warm bear hugs. When Juju and Seo arrived in her life, she fell in love with being an aunt all over again. Life became all about sports again baseball, football, soccer, and basketball. She loved watching and cheering for her boys. Juju, Seo and Evelyn were special to her, but Seo was her baby, he had a special place in her heart and she in his. When Seo was around no one else mattered. Evelyn was the newest addition to the crew, but Tia Malma made sure she had the cutest outfits with plenty of cheetah print of course. Alma got to spoil all of them with so much love. She will be greatly missed by all her nieces and nephews.
When her life was touched by cancer in 2018, Alma’s close friends turned into her “Dream Team” Jennifer Olivarez, Crystal Garza, Dawn Bullard, Yvette Rodriguez, and her sister Hilda. They brought a ray of sunshine into her life. Thanks for all you did and continue to do for our Warrior.
Alma is proceeded in death by her both sets of grandparents and sister Maria de Lourdes Garcia. She is survived by her loving parents Clemente and Silvia; siblings Diana Solis (Javier “El Man”), Clemente (Myrna), Hilda Rodriguez (Jason) and Edgar (Vanessa). Alma was blessed with a Bonus Mom – she always said Diana was her second Mom, they shared a very special bond.
