Adela Montemayor, 88, of Clute, Texas, passed away on December 20, 2022.

Adela was born on August 31, 1934, in Arcabuz, Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Jose Gonzalez and Barbarita Ramirez.

Adela dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed cooking and always wanted to be sure everyone had enough to eat. She looked forward to family gatherings and special events.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, David, and siblings Arturo Gonzalez, Adelio Gonzalez, Amando Gonzalez, Andrea DeLeon, and Javier Gonzalez.

Adela is survived by her nine children, Maria Breazeale (Allan), Carmen Lozano, Joe Montemayor (Diana), David Montemayor, Alex Montemayor (Lisa), Joel Montemayor, Liz Buentello (Steve), Rick Montemayor (partner Kim Milchalk), and Leticia Aguilar (Robert), 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Restwood Funeral Home, Clute, Texas. A Rosary will follow at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Clute, Texas on Friday, December 30, 2022, at noon - followed by burial at Restwood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be her Grandsons.
