Wanda was a school bus driver for 27 years and then went in to school administration for several years before her retirement. She was an award winning artist known for her beautiful water paintings, a few of which hang in the offices of local doctors. When Wanda wasn't painting she was crocheting, and she made a baby blanket for each of her grandchildren upon their birth. Sunday's were the day she reserved for the Lord and praised him with her angelic voice singing with the church choir.
Wanda is survived by her son Chris Edward Walters; her granddaughters Taniya Marie Melendez, Nicole Michelle Walters, her grandsons Bobby Walters, Brian Paul Walters, her great grandsons Jayden Nicolas Melendez, Cruz Anthony Melendez and her great granddaughter Avah Victoria Melendez.
Wanda was preceded in death by her son John Leroy Walters; her father Roy Riley Montgomery and her mother Effie Elizabeth (Davis) Montgomery.
A visitation for Wanda will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Ave, Clovis, CA 93612.
