She was sweet, kind, caring, loving and all around awesome.
She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.


I met Trina and Larry when Greg was playing soccer with my son Josh Mahoney. We sat through many games together and volunteered on the board together. Trina was loved by everyone, she was just one of those genuinely nice people. I have run in to her a few times over the years and it was always nice to catch up with what was new in life. I will remember her humor, kindness, and smile.  My condolences to Greg and family.

As a new hire to the City, Trina was a welcoming and helpful friend! I will forever be grateful for her knowledge, advice, and her "it's too early for this, Sunshine" when I would call before 9:00 am. 

My sincerest condolences go out to those that were closest to her. 

The world has lost a special lady. Trina will be missed by many. I will miss reading her snarky and amusing posts on Facebook. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.




Thinking about Trina, I have decided that I am one of her "new" friends, since I have only known her about 38 years. That woman held on to friends like no one I have ever known and she knew everyone! We have not been in contact as often in recent years, but when we did talk, we picked up right where we left off. Trina had the ability to make everyone feel that they were important to her. I don't know if it was intentional or just innate ability. She was unapologetically opinionated, and yet I never saw her offend anyone. Of course, she certainly related stories of those she offended, which was usually a coworker or boss. I can't imagine how many people consider her their best friend.  I also know that friends were secondary to family.  Greg, you are at the top of the pyramid. She always filled me in on what you were doing. She was a proud mom! Candy, John, Justin, Jeff, Alan...were not left out her reports either, because she was just as proud of you. 
This sounds like a stock quote, but I will miss her smile and infectious laugh. I don't know another way to say it. I could not be in a bad mood when I was with her! I think about her every day and find myself in tears often. Her passing is undoubtedly beyond difficult for all of you. I suspect Trina would say, "Knock it off," or something similar so I think about some silly things we did and smile.  I remember playing hide and seek on our Alaskan cruise ship, and avoiding Tom and Larry at the city Christmas parties, so they couldn't  leave early. I remember  going shopping together for bras (let that sink in a second) with very different frustrations and leaving the salespeople annoyed and not thinking we were as funny as we thought we were. I remember Trina banging on the glass at the Fresno Falcon hockey games and convincing the concessionaire to not make us get our ID's, because we were married to cops.
