Rodger was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.
He married the love of his life on October 2nd, 1965. They had 2 children and built an amazing life together. He was a Hero to his children and always supported them in everything they pursued. Rodger was the quiet strength in the background for his entire family, always there to lend a helping hand and hold everyone up in their time of need.
Rodger spent a lot of time making special memories with his children and grandchildren. He was there for every special moment, holiday and difficult time. His family will always cherish the memories made, especially the many trips to the beach.
While he lost the love of his life way to soon, he was lucky enough to find love again and enjoyed a special companionship and many fun adventures with her traveling around the country.
Rodger lived a very full life, filled with love, adventure and friendship. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.
Rodger is survived by his Son: Randal Ritchie (Caroline McKoane), Daughter: Michelle Nunes (Jason), Brother: Russell Ritchie (Loena), Sister: Rhonda Dickinson (Grover), 5 Grandchildren: Kyrsten, Mikayla, Madilynn, Jakeob, Jase, and Great Grandson: Grayson. He is also survived by 1 nephew, 2 nieces and several great nieces and nephews.
Rodger was preceded in his death by his wife Judith Gale Ritchie (September 6th, 1995) as well as his longtime girlfriend Mary Jo Lomier (June 20th, 2023).
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, at 10:00 am at Clovis Cemetery, 305 North Villa Ave, Clovis, CA 93612 with a reception immediately following, to be announced at the services.
