Lillian, a lifelong resident of Fresno County passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at the age of 88. She was born on March 3, 1923, to K.G. and Erma Johnston. At Sanger High School she was active in cheerleading, athletics and choir. After graduation in 1940 she married Carl Kennedy of Selma. They celebrated 65 years of marriage prior to his death in 2005. In the 1960's, Lillian was the bookkeeper for the Sanger Herald. In the 1970's, she worked as hospital administrator of Sanger Convalescent, Fresno Care and Guidance and Capitola Convalescent. Lillian was a member of the Sanger Order of Eastern Star receiving her 50 year pin in 2005. She was also an active parent in the Demolay and Rainbow Girls. During this last year Lillian resided in Fresno at Cottonwood Court. There she was surrounded by many friends and a caring, loving staff. We love you, Mom Lillian leaves behind her son, Dennis Kennedy and his wife Connie; her daughter Bonnie Bland and her husband John; three grandchildren, Curtis Kennedy and his wife Roben, Chris Kennedy and his wife Cheryl of Fresno and Julie Seeber of North Richland Hills, Texas. She also leaves four great-grandchildren, Alex, Christina and Tiffany Kennedy, and Kevin Seeber; and a devoted nephew, Jerry Murray. Remembrances may be made to St. Agnes Hospice, 6729 N.
