Kenneth Leon Faulkner, 89, entered into rest peacefully at his home on Friday, July 1, 2022. He was born October 13, 1932 in Bennington, Oklahoma. He is one of 12 children of Cephus and Ethel Faulkner. He married his wife of 56 years, Ellyn June Faulkner on July 1,1967 in Reno Nevada.
Kenneth's family moved from Oklahoma and he grew up in Lindcove, California. He proudly served in the United States Army in the Korean War from December 1,1952 and honorably discharged November 18, 1954. He was stationed in Japan as a Unit Supply Specialist. He received a Good Conduct Metal and a National Defense Service Metal.
Kenneth and Ellyn moved to Clovis, California where they have resided since 1976 and raised their two children, Cynthia Faulkner-Vasquez and Kimber LeAnn Faulkner. Kenneth was a very hard worker and proud man. He was an insurance agent for over 30 years. Kenneth loved to camp and visit the mountains. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed spending as much time as possible doing so. He was a strong and sometimes stern man with a wonderful since of humor, one of his favorite sayings was "if you can’t buy it at Walmart, you don’t need it!" Although he was sometimes tough, everyone knew that he loved and cared for them and learned a lot from him. All of his children are the strong, independent, somewhat stubborn people they are because of him and are thankful.
Kenneth is survived by his Wife, Ellyn June Faulkner, Son Kenneth Wayne Faulkner and wife Christine, Daughters Cheryl Ann Yoas and husband Terry, Donna Gayle Roberts and husband Lawrence, Cynthia Marie Faulkner-Vasquez and husband Brian, Kimber LeAnn Faulkner, Granddaughter Fara Dawn Reed and husband Joe, Grandsons Gerald Kenneth Haston and wife Tasha, Kyle Wayne Compagna, Granddaughter Kaitlynn Marie Deans, Sisters Wanda Lois Godfrey, Beverly Faulkner, and Brother Caroll Lee Faulkner. He is also a proud Great-Grandfather of 5.
