John is survived by his wife, Liana Cain; son John A. Cain (Ashley); and daughter Dorina Cain; sister Mary Candace "Candy" MacArthur (Jon), sister Michele Cain, sister Elizabeth Myers (Thomas) and sister Constance Eastman (Jonathan); granddaughter Dalia Cain and grandson Paxton Cain.

John was preceded in death by father John C. Cain, Sr. and mother Mary F. Cain; brother Joel H. Cain; sister Kathleen Naus and brother-in-law Gary Naus.
