Gregoria “Gigi” A. San Juan, age 73 of Clovis, CA passed away on October 6, 2022. She was born on September 11, 1949 in Amadeo, Cavite Philippines. She was one of six children of Diosdado San Juan and Maria Ancero. She graduated from a Midwifery School in Manila and practiced in the Philippines until she immigrated to the Chicago area in 1983. She worked for Abbott Laboratories for years before she retired in 2011 and moved to New Jersey to be with her daughter’s growing family. She moved to the Fresno area in 2014 along with her daughter and family. She was a devout Catholic and had been a parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church the past 8 years.
She will be remembered for her fiery spirit, loved for her grandchildren, for being a die-hard Cub fan, and crocheting. She was survived by her daughter, Raquel, son-in-law Silvester, grandsons Ralph and Sam, and niece Susana. She may have left Philippines almost 40 years ago, but she touched and loved everyone and she was known for her generosity.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, CA 93612.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 355 East Champlain Drive, Fresno, CA 93730.
Final place on interment will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at St. Mary’s Memorial Garden in Amadeo, Cavite Philippines.
