In 1979 Eugene married the love of his life, Debra (Debbie Grisso) and they celebrated 42 happy years of marriage.
Gene grew up in Kingsburg on a dairy farm. He often spoke of happy memories spent riding horses, hunting with his 22 and fishing. When he was 16 his parents gifted him with a Cushman Eagle Motor Cycle which granted Gene a sense of freedom that he loved and he fondly recalled riding all over the foothills.
Gene enlisted in the Marines and proudly served his Country with 26 months in Vietnam. Gene had a thirst for knowledge and loved history and science. Gene was also an outdoorsman and enjoyed backpacking, gold panning and fishing.
Gene is survived by his loving wife, Debra (Grisso) Coffman; his son Jonathan Lambeth and his five children, Madison, Lennox, Hendrix, Phoenix and Luxlee; his daughter Erin (Coffman) Rafael, her husband James and their son's Sebastian and Roman; and his son Sean Coffman and his partner Eire and their two daughters Violet and Cedar.
